October is probably one of my favorite months. Nothing quite compares to a beautiful autumn day. The air is crisp, it's not too cold yet, the trees are vibrant (well at least for a few more days here in the north) and of course Halloween is right around the corner.
Halloween is by far the best holiday out of the year. The candy is great when you're a kid, however nothing quite compares to drinking and costumes! (Now, to find a party to attend this year.) I always wanted to make the scary house on the block and it seems that may have yet to wait at least another year.
Looks like I'll be sitting here with my fingers crossed for the most of this month.
I'm hoping I actually get a bite on the house and that I don't have to rake too much this year. It may be hard to keep my head above water as everyone at work tries to squeeze their project in pre-"freeze." Attempting to figure out where the holidays will lead me is always fun. Of course, I'll most likely be in St. Louis for Chrismas but to fly, to drive? And what about Turkey day? Who knows! October: a month of planning, stress and fun! Can we cram anything else in?
This month started off with a bang. I'm crossing my fingers that it ends with a bigger one. A good bigger one. I hope October treats you all well.
Cheers,
Franz

"Halloween is my fav holiday too! You know why? Because I don't have to buy anyone stupid fucking presents. Just candy for the neighborhood kids.
My in laws just sold their house this past week, it was on the market for a year and a half. So, keep the faith! It will happen, unfortunately it just takes a long time."
