Name Silliness

Okay, I know this is old but I always find it funny when the "old" folks at work pick up on stuff and have to share. Of course you're sitting back in your chair thinking, "Geeze, didn't we do this 10 years ago?" Anyhow, I'm posting it here because I want to see and hopefully you all don't mind sharing yours. They always give me a good giggle, so...

What's your Stripper/Porn Star name? I know there's a few different version floating about, but it seems this is the one I heard of the most.
First Name = 1st Pet's Name
Last Name = 1st Street You Lived On

It's very nice to meet you, I'm Buffy Dorchester.

You got to be kidding me!?!

Note: I do not wish to offend anyone by my comments below. I was raised Catholic and still consider myself one. I'm just one of those who doesn't agree with everything fed to me. So please don't take offense, just consider it one of my rants.

I came home from work today and flipped on the news. I thought I was hearing things but upon further research it was true. The Vatican released the Drivers' Ten Commandments. I just don't even know what to say. Isn't there something else and even better to do with your time? I mean, I understand it's got to be hard to be an institution that refuses to grow or acclimate with the times, the possiblities of things one could do in order to make the world better and you decide to declare that all Catholics should be more courteous on the road?! Isn't all that covered in the original 10 or the whole "Treat others how you would like to be treated" stuff? Forget about AIDS in Africa or all the mistreated or hungry or whatever people in this world, just don't SIN IN YOUR CAR!

In order to help save your souls, I've included them below. Now you can't claim ignorance.

1. You shall not kill.
2. The road shall be for you a means of communion between people and not of mortal harm.
3. Courtesy, uprightness and prudence will help you deal with unforeseen events.
4. Be charitable and help your neighbor in need, especially victims of accidents.
5. Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an occasion of sin.
6. Charitably convince the young and not so young not to drive when they are not in a fitting condition to do so.
7. Support the families of accident victims.
8. Bring guilty motorists and their victims together, at the appropriate time, so that they can undergo the liberating experience of forgiveness.
9. On the road, protect the more vulnerable party.
10. Feel responsible toward others.

Now excuse me while I go slaughter things in a virtual world,
Franz

I've been Tagged!

Originally posted on MySpace Blog

Here's how you play. Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random things, facts or habits about yourself. At the end, you choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them to be tagged. Don't forget to leave them a comment ("You're It!") and to read your blog. You can't tag the person who tagged you. Since you can't tag me back, let me know when you've posted your blog so I can see your answers.

Karla... I hate you for doing this to me. ;)

1. I won't elaborate, but I can never have enough q-tips.
2. As a kid I was obsessed with the movie The Ten Commandments. I loved the whole ancient Egypt thing.
3. I can't stand quiet. I must have some sort of noise. It can be just the hum of the A/C or something but if its dead quiet I go crazy. This probably explains #4.
4. I have a tendency to randomly break into song, especially when I'm alone.
5. I am having drinks with a guy on Thursday. I wouldn't call it a date but lets just say its the first time I've been in this type of situation in over 7 years.
6. I love animal cookies and bite their heads off first.
7. I've worked for the same company for more than a third of my life.
8. I absolutely love the Sci-Fi show, Ghost Hunters and one day want to visit "haunted" places.
9. I love dressing up and going to the Renaisance Festival - which leads into...
10. I seriously believe I must have had a past life or was born in the wrong time period cause I often don't feel like I'm in the right era. (haha, this coming from the techo-geek)
